Highway To Hell

Highway To Hell (1979)

Band: AC/DC
Album: Highway To Hell
Genre: Hard Rock

After posting "Stairway to Heaven" I thought it would be interesting to post a song totally oposite to it: "Highway To Hell" by one of my favorite bands, AC/DC. It was in the last album featuring Bon Scott, the vocalist before Brian Johnson, who died six months after the realease of the album, from over-consumption of alcohol. The song was written by Bon Scott, Angus Young and Malcolm Young while the main guitar riff was created by Angus Young. The "Highway To Hell" album the album was ranked number 199 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Enjoy it!

Lyrics:

Living easy, livin' free
Season ticket, on a one, way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don't need reason, don't need rhyme
Ain't nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too
I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
No stop signs, speedin' limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel, gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me 'round
Hey Satan! Paid my dues
Playin' in a rockin' band
Hey mama! Look at me
I'm on my way to the promise land
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
Don't stop me!
(3x)
I'm on the highway to hell
I'm on the highway
I'm on the (highway to hell)
(3x)
I'm on the highway to hell (highway to hell)
Yeah I'm going down anyway
I'm on the highway to hell
